“She’s not here? Where could she be?!” Abby’s mother yelled back from inside the house. It dawned on Abby that both of her parents were looking for her, and judging from the frantic tone in her mother’s voice, they were very concerned. She decided to wait and quickly make her way to her room if they weren’t watching.
But first, she had to wait until her father moved further away from the shed. The door was slightly ajar, allowing her to see her father standing there, uncertain of what to do. Then, upon hearing her mother call him, he rushed inside. Abby quickly got up, preparing to leave, but caught a glimpse of the white sheet in her peripheral vision.
