Shortly after, Abby’s mother returned home, and her parents tucked her into bed together. Abby didn’t utter a word about the shed, not wanting to start a fight between her parents.
However, the mystery occupied little Abby’s mind throughout the night. From her room, she could see a portion of the shed, so she went to the window to check. She looked at her clock first and noticed that it was past midnight.
