Abby was crying in pain as she held onto her foot. There was some blood, and her mother immediately brought her back into the house. There, she examined the wound and found a tiny nail.
Abby must have stepped on it since she wasn’t wearing any shoes. “Conner, haven’t you cleaned up and swept the shed yet?” her mother scolded her father angrily.
