Her father would surely notice it from inside the house. She tried to feel her way around with her hands, but kept bumping into things. Then suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her foot and screamed.
She knew her parents had heard her, so she quickly rushed out of the shed just as her parents came running into the garden. “Abby? What’s wrong? What were you doing in there?” her father asked frantically as he hurried towards the shed door and quickly closed it.
