Naming the Wolf Romeo:
From that moment on, Nick started seeing the black wolf more frequently. It appeared to genuinely enjoy Dakotah’s company and would often visit to play with her. Even Nick’s wife found the situation amusing, though they both kept their distance from the animal.
They decided to name the wolf Romeo when Nick’s wife noticed that the black wolf would only come around to play with Dakotah. She remarked, “Here comes that Romeo wolf again,” referring to his courtship-like behavior towards their dog. And the name stuck.
