It comes as the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew, is gradually emerging from the royal family over the sexual abuse scandal and his pedophilia links to convicted felon Jeffrey Epstein, emerging from behind his mother’s coffin with his siblings without his uniform.
Both Prince Harry and Prince Andrew are no longer working members of the royal family; While Andrew was forced out of his duties, Prince Harry retreated alone with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020.
Speaking about the same on Twitter, Sussex spokesperson Omid Scobie said: “…Unlike Prince Andrew, Prince Harry will not be allowed to wear a uniform at the last vigil at Westminster Hall.”
He added that this would be “a huge blow to the Duke of Sussex, who has served for 10 years and spoke this morning of the Queen being his ‘commander in general'”.
Queen Elizabeth passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, with her state funeral scheduled for September 19, 2022, also being declared a bank holiday.
Working royals, including Prince William, King Charles and his brothers, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, will appear in their military uniforms during this time.
