Damian understood that the noise meant that the gorillas had accepted Victoria and would be friends with her. Then one of them approached her and gave her a gentle touch with its face—a clear sign that the gorillas had accepted Victoria.
Both gorillas were very friendly, offering warm hugs and signs of affection. From there, Damian and Victoria decided to spend the day and left the riverbank and the two gorillas behind. But it wouldn’t be the last time they would see each other.
