Three south east London men among six charged with Bristol murder  

THREE men from south east London are among a group of six who have been charged with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Bristol.  

Aranit Lleshi, from London, died after suffering multiple stab wounds when he was attacked in Brislington, Bristol, on May 24. 

The following five men have been charged with murder after an investigation by the Avon and Somerset Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT).

  • Brikel Palaj, 32, of Heavitree Road in Plumstead  
  • Nikola Palaj, 28, also of Heavitree Road in Plumstead 
  • Rinush Behari, 32, of Bunton Street in Woolwich 
  • Kastriot Mhillaj, 34, of no fixed address 
  • Radian Lika, 35, of Watkinson Road in Islington

They are set to appear before Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (June 23). 

A sixth man, Sadik Lleshi, 34, of Culvert Road in Tottenham, will appear before the same court on June 24 on the same charge. 

The six have also previously appeared in court charged with violent disorder. 

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Six men have today been charged with the murder of 32-year-old Aranit Lleshi who died following an incident in Brislington, Bristol, on Tuesday 24 May. 

“The charges are the result of an investigation by our Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT). 

“The following men have been charged with murder and will appear before Bristol Magistrates Court on Thursday 23 June 2022: 

  • Brikel Palaj, 32, of Heavitree Road in Plumstead
  • Nikola Palaj, 28, of Heavitree Road in Plumstead
  • Rinush Behari, 32, of Bunton Street in Woolwich 
  • Kastriot Mhillaj, 34, of no fixed address
  • Radian Lika, 35, of Watkinson Road in Islington

“A sixth man, Sadik Lleshi, 34, of Culvert Road, Tottenham, London, will appear before the same court the following day, Friday 24 June on the same charge. 

“The six men have previously appeared in court charged with violent disorder. 

“A post-mortem examination concluded Aranit Lleshi, from London, died as a result of multiple stab wounds.”
