An Empty Store
The chances of the jeweler recognizing the watch seemed higher than with the cleaner. Perhaps, just perhaps, Steven could recover his investment through this seemingly insignificant watch. It would be amazing if he could recoup the $250 spent on cleaning and maybe even make a profit. As the old man finally arrived at the store, he noticed that it appeared completely abandoned.
Wondering if it was the wrong time or if the store was closed, he quickly checked his phone. Unlocking the screen, he saw a missed call from his wife. Did she have concerns about the situation? Did she know something he didn’t? Should he call her back or inform her later? He entered the store and cautiously made his way to the back.
