A Second Visit to the Jewelry Store
Steven walked briskly along the sidewalk, lost in his thoughts and unaware of the people around him. Suddenly, he heard his name, “Steven?” from a vaguely familiar voice. It was the jeweler, politely asking if they could talk.
The jeweler assured Steven of his intentions and explained that he didn’t mean to scare him with the phone call. He asked the old man to accompany him back to the jewelry store. “After all, you were looking for me yesterday,” he said. Steven agreed to the proposition. New information awaited him.
