An Unexpected Phone Call
Steven decided to snap a photo of the framed picture, not only as proof of his discovery but also to show his wife, who was probably worried sick by now. Steven rushed back home, wondering what he had gotten himself into. Before sharing his find with anyone, even his wife, the old man decided to explore the internet. Just as he was about to give up, the phone rang.
It was the jeweler. Steven panicked, puzzled as to how this person obtained his phone number. Trying to remain calm and composed, the jeweler asked if Steven had been to his shop. Steven hesitated to respond, and the realization struck that the person on the other end of the line knew about his visit to the jeweler’s store.
