Abandoning all hope
Mike closed his eyes and waited for the crocodile to attack him. He had given up all hope when suddenly, he felt someone grab him by the collar. Nick had come to his rescue and pulled his friend out of the water. But instead of following him to the shore, Mike rushed toward the animal.
Everyone screamed as they saw their friend running towards the crocodile. No one understood why he was being so reckless. Mike grabbed the shovel and raised it above his head as if he was going to strike the animal. Strangely, his plan worked, as the creature fled at full speed to the other end of the lake.
